Provides respiratory protection against acid gases and particles of specific substances and regulated by OSHA. NIOSH/MSHA approved; for use with 3M half-facepiece and full-facepiece respirators with bayonet filter holder. Do not use in enclosed areas or confined spaces. This P100 acid gas cartridge and filter can be used for a variety of applications such as chemical manufacturing, glass etching, pulp processing, paper processing and in laboratories. The sloped design offers greater comfort and visibility. - When properly fitted provides respiratory protection against chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, chlorine dioxide, or hydrogen sulfide against oily and non-oily particulates in concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL, for its acronym in English) with half face pieces or up to 50 times with full face pieces. - Full facepieces must be quantitatively fit tested to ensure an assigned protection factor greater than 10 in negative pressure mode. - They are not suitable for use in environments that represent a direct danger to life or health (IDLH, for its acronym in English).
